Product Description

6 inch check valve also called as 6 inch non return valve or dn150 check valve, prevent backflow in piping systems, these mechanisms ensure that the valve closes when the flow of fluid through the pipe is reversed. To ensure unobstructed flow, the check valve can automatically close when the pressure is reduced. They exist in many industries and are used in mining, gas and water.

Pipe size, pressure rating, working pressure, flow rate, and medium gravity and temperature are usually considered when purchasing a check valve.

Features

The check valve protects the mechanical components in the piping system as the reverse flow of the fluid ceases. A check valve prevents primary backflow in the event of a pipe rupture. The mechanism also reduces wasted energy consumption by preventing backflow to lower pressures. Check valves have excellent hydrodynamic properties. Lighter weight facilitates installation, transport and storage.

What are the requirements for the selection of 6 inch check valve

1. The corresponding size of the check valve should be determined, and the valve supplier must provide the data of the selected size, so that the valve size when the valve is fully opened at a given flow rate can be found;

2. For high and medium pressure check valves below DN50mm, vertical lift check valves and straight-through lift check valves should be selected;

3. For low pressure check valves below DN50mm, butterfly check valves, vertical lift check valves and diaphragm check valves should be selected;

4. For high and medium pressure check valves with DN greater than 50mm and less than 600mm, swing check valves should be used;

5. For medium and low pressure check valves with DN greater than 200mm and less than 1200mm, non-wear spherical check valves should be selected;

6. For low-pressure check valves with DN greater than 50mm and less than 2000mm, butterfly check valves and diaphragm check valves should be selected;

7. For pipelines that require less or no water hammer when closed, slow-closing swing check valves and slow-closing butterfly check valves should be used.
