Description

20 inch gate valve is also called 500mm gate valve or dn500 gate valve, it can also be called water line gate valve or water sluice valve according to the purpose.

A gate valve controls the media's flow by lifting the gate (open) and lowering the gate (closed). Inspection

1. During the use of the valve, the following items should be checked regularly, and problems should be repaired in time.

① Whether the fasteners are uniformly strong.

② Whether the packing is seriously worn, and whether the gasket is damaged (stop for maintenance).

③ Whether the drive is light and flexible.

④ Whether the stem threads and stem nut are severely worn or deformed.

⑤ Whether the sealing surfaces are damaged or severely worn (shut down for maintenance).

⑥ Whether there is leakage at the connection between the valve seat and the valve body (stop for maintenance).

⑦ Whether the casing is severely corroded or worn, causing the casing to become significantly thinner or even leaking, if these phenomena occur, it should be scrapped (shut down for maintenance).

2. After the valve is repaired and assembled, the pressure test must be carried out according to the corresponding standards, and the situation should be recorded after each inspection for future reference.
