Product Description
The double disc check valve is a one-way valve, also known as double door check valve, double flap check valve or double plate check valve. It allows fluid to flow in one direction and cannot flow in the other direction. Check valves of various sizes, shapes and types are available, and they are usually self-adjusting, meaning that the flow of fluid itself often controls the opening and closing of the check valve. The disc of the check valve opens under the action of fluid pressure, and the fluid flows from the inlet side to the outlet side. When the pressure on the inlet side is lower than that on the outlet side, the valve disc will automatically close under the action of fluid pressure difference, gravity and other factors to prevent the fluid from flowing back.
The double door or dual plate check valve features a disc divided in two along a center line. The two doors can hinge open to allow forward flow or arrest backflow. Compact and lightweight, this type of check valve is often implemented for low-pressure liquid and gas applications.
Double plate check valve is mainly composed of important parts such as valve body, valve plate, valve stem and spring. The valve is mainly installed in water supply system, high-rise buildings and industrial plants. Because its surface spacing is shorter than that of general check valves, it is especially suitable for installation in compact spaces.
